About HARPER Ave.
About HARPER Ave.
HARPER Ave. was founded by Natalie Jerichau after more than a decade working in furniture, including with some of Denmark’s most established names in design, Verner Panton and Carl Hansen & Søn.
After almost ten years living and working in Los Angeles, Natalie wanted to create something of her own, bringing Danish craftsmanship and functionality together with the more relaxed way of living she found in Los Angeles.
The first piece was a sofa, originally designed for a close friend on Harper Avenue in Los Angeles. When Natalie moved back to Copenhagen, she made another for a friend, who later became one of the co-founders. That became the starting point for HARPER Ave.
Her influences reach beyond Danish design, from Brazilian mid-century to the simplicity of Japanese architecture. Darker woods, simple forms and a certain laid-back ease. More than anything, she is drawn to good materials, quality and things that have been thoughtfully made.
HARPER Ave. is about making fewer things, and making them well. Furniture and objects that feel relevant now, without being designed around trends. Pieces made to live with you for decades.
